About this water

A machair loch featuring a gradual drop-off along its western bay, with prime fishing spots located in the northeast bay, along the north bank, and between the islands. This lake offers excellent fishing opportunities in various weather conditions, but it's particularly ideal during strong westerly winds.

Two distinct types of trout thrive in this lake: the classic spotted brown trout and a silver fish variety. On average, these fish weigh around 1 pound, but it's not uncommon to catch specimens weighing 2 or 3 pounds.
