Water managed by Shetland Anglers Association
A large loch with many fishy bays and islands. There is easy access to both ends of the loch and the SAA boat is kept in the parking place at the south end. There are a number of rocks and shallows in the loch to catch the unwary boat angler and caution is advised.
Typical loch trout average 6 ounces with some of a pound or more. In the past the loch had a good run of sea trout and the SAA has been stocking with sea trout to improve the runs of migratory fish.
