About this water

A few miles hike from the south-east of Wythburn is Blea Tarn.

Follow the path up that starts steep and slippy but becomes more manageable, passing through a beautiful woodland setting and familiar wet moorland.

You'll find small dark acrobatic trout that will take a wet or dry fly fished in the ripple. There are bigger fish, too, so you never know what might be waiting to engulf your fly.

You'll need change for Steel End Car Park which is twelve pounds for the full day.

There is no information about permission, and in this case, I don't think that matters much. Just remember to take your rod licence.
